On 11th April HIFA is launching a 4-week in-depth discussion on the HIFA forum, in collaboration with Makerere University, Norwegian Institute of Public Health, WHO and other research partners. This discussion is vital as a first step as the research consortium rolls out a 4-year programme that includes a systematic review and primary research.

The questions

Fibroid Foundation Africa

Fibroid Foundation Africa (FibFA) is a multistakeholder charitable organization dedicated to encouraging more conversation about uterine fibroid an overlooked, debilitating condition affecting many women in their reproductive age. It is our belief that as many people become knowledgeable and recognize the difficulty of women with fibroid, at home, at work, at school, in the community, more women will be able to receive the support and care they need in managing the condition/emotions the support and care they need to manage the condition and emotions and feel better about themselves.

We are delighted to announce that the 150th session of the WHO Executive Board (24-29 January 2022) has agreed to admit Global Healthcare Information Network CIC (GHI-Net) as a non-State actor in Official Relations with the World Health Organization (WHO). GHI-Net is the non-profit community interest company registered in the UK in 2005 for the sole purpose of administering the global initiative Healthcare Information For All (HIFA), launched in 2006.

HIFA thanks Richard Horton, editor-in-chief of The Lancet, for continuing to champion the importance of access to reliable health information.
