HIFA Voices database

The HIFA Voices database aims to bring together the experiential knowledge of HIFA members (more than 20,000 professionals in 10 countries) to better understand the healthcare information needs of different users in different contexts, and how these needs can be more effectively addressed.

The HIFA Voices database also includes citations of relevant health information sciences literature to better understand information needs and how to meet them.

"As HIFA Voices evolves over the coming years, it has the potential to become a leading source of practical and experiential data to help inform future international guidelines by WHO and other organisations, on a range of issues relating to health systems, human resources for health, and availability and use of health information." Dr. Simon Lewin, WHO Guideline Group, Optimizing for Maternal and Newborn Health

A proof of concept has been developed and HIFA is currently seeking financial and technical support for implementation, as a contribution to the HIFA-WHO Collaboration Plan 2022-2024.
