Some of the actions to combat climate change also combat non communicable diseases (NCDs)

- more active transport and walking to work or use of public transport with more social interaction,

- Eating less processed food increases the thermic effect of food (unprocessed food have a greater use of calories and improve mitochondrial health) reducing metabolic syndrome and its NCD consequences.

- working from home reduces carbon emissions
