Name of conference: 2022 AEMRN Initiatives’ Experience Sharing Conference

The Afro-European Medical and Research Network (AEMRN) will be organizing the 2022 AEMRN Initiatives’ Experience Sharing Conference

Dates: December 15-16, 2022

Location: Room XXII Palais des Nations, United Nations Geneva Switzerland.

Theme: “Road to Universal Health Coverage (UCH) achievement in the era of COVID-19”.

By the end of the conference, participants will identify:

1. Best practices that provide insights into in programming for health in resource poor settings with special focus on “Road to Universal Health Coverage (UCH) achievement in the era of COVID-19”.

2. Health for All concepts and the achievements of the Universal Health Coverage (UCH) – and 2030 sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

3. Opportunities to foster and promote cross-cultural exchange across South-South and North-South participants

4. Opportunities to plan for the initiatives and projects for 2023 and beyond.

 Deadline for submissions: Sunday 30th October, 2022

Participants are encouraged to submit abstracts that focus on one of the following below topics/themes of the conference listed below. The abstract proposal should explain the topic of your presentation and provide the following information: a title, a brief description of the initiative, including type of activity, aims/objectives, target audience and outcomes/results.

• Topics or themes:

o National Health Policies

o Service delivery and safety

o Health workforce

o Health financing for universal health coverage

o Essential medicines and health products

o Health statistics and information systems

o Other Sustainable Development Goals 2030

Presenter information should be indicated in the following format: First name, last name, highest degree/designation, affiliation, country, e-mail address.

Presenters should indicate the preferred type of presentation (podium, panel) or poster presentation. Time slots for presentations will depend on the number of submissions since the conference organizers would like to ensure that everyone gets a chance to present their project.

If your abstract is accepted, you will be asked to submit a brief biographical statement for the book of published abstracts.
