Operation Hernia (OH) is an independent not-for-profit organization that provides professional and educational opportunities to surgeons and surgical trainees in the repair of long-standing groin hernias at rural hospitals in the developing world.
OER Africa is a ground-breaking initiative established by the South African Institute for Distance Education (Saide). We play a leading role in supporting higher education institutions across Africa in the development and use of Open Educational Resources (OER) to enhance teaching and learning.
The 1mCHW Campaign, which has a partnership base of over 150 organizations from United Nations agencies, civil society, the private sector, and academia, was launched in January 2013 at the World Economic Forum in Davos. A week later, Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn endorsed the Campaign at the African Union Summit. The Earth Institute at Columbia University in New York City hosts the Campaign’s Secretariat.
NIMSA is the umbrella body of over 60,000 medical students in the 38 medical schools in Nigeria. NiMSA is affiliated to the International Federation of Medical Students’ Association(IFMSA) and is the student arm of Nigerian Medical Association(NMA).
NiMSA is a non-governmental organisation, the only official representative body of all the medical students studying in recognized Nigerian medical schools irrespective of nationalities. We ensure that the voice of the Nigerian medical students is heard in policy formation.
