I also find it most unacceptable to open this topic for the public to discuss. HIFA as a network from professions and members at large from all countries of the world should discuss the topics that do not create sensitivity and resentment among others. People at least of the Middle East, find discussing this topic openly and on social media most unusual and unacceptable. As has been said clearly and loudly by Charles this is total private issue and should not be a topic for public discussion. Privacy has to be respected by all of us. I know in some countries they do not have a problem with this topic or others being discussed Cultural, religion, tradition, privacy, human rights (they differ form one nation to the other) and other values have to be respected.

HIFA profile: Najeeb Al-Shorbaji recently retired from the World Health Organization (WHO), where he has worked since 1988 in different capacities. He was most recently Director of the Knowledge, Ethics and Research Department at WHO headquarters, Geneva. Previously he was Coordinator for Knowledge Management and Sharing in EMRO (Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office), Egypt. He is a member of a number of national and international professional societies and associations specialised in information management and health informatics. He has authored over 100 research papers and articles presented in various conferences and published in professional journals.
