'High-level dialogue between WHO Director-General, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mr Volker Türk

'The world is embroiled in multiple crises – from disasters to conflict to the climate emergency, threatening the right to health of millions globally, with those facing marginalization or vulnerability suffering the most.

'Marking the 75th anniversaries of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the World Health Organization, this event will look at how to continue to advance human rights for health, even in the face of serious emergencies.

'This dialogue will bring the WHO Director-General, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mr Volker Türk, together with human rights defenders, policy makers, health workers and other stakeholders to discuss how to protect the right to health and other health-related human rights in a world in turmoil. It will explore how policy makers can uphold international commitments and discuss actions to take at the global, national and local levels to realize the right to health for everyone.'

Best wishes, Neil
