The Lancet: Commission on Health and Human Rights (10) Genocides in Gaza

4 April, 2024

I fully agree with what Stewart Britten, Rhona MacDonald, David Southall and Gauri Divan have said in their postings on HIFA and more. What’s going on Gaza is a series of genocides, it's very sad, it’s disgusting, it's hypocritic and it's inhumane. It's happening in front of the eyes of those who created and continue to talk about the so-called human rights. Genocides, atrocities, destruction of hospitals, killing of health workers, using food and water as a method to kill more people, deprivation of food and drug to patients, no water and no sanitations in addition to the destruction of civil records, EHR, records of vaccination, etc. Enough is enough.

On 22nd November 2023, I wrote on HIFA Discussion my resentment to what is going on in Gaza and received no response from the coordinator. On the 23rd of November 2023, I wrote to the same coordinator the following text, which was never published on HIFA " I would appreciate if you removed my name or just tell me how to remove it from this Group. I hate hypocrisy. I did send you through this Group one sentence yesterday and you decided not to publish or just to respond. My last posting in this hypocrisy is the killing of Palestinians by the UK and USA supported Zionist regime that do not believe in ethics and any human values". The posting I sent is a published material in a link about the skin bank that is maintained by Israeli doctors.

I always thought that human rights, everywhere, are respected, expect in HIFA. I salute what Stewart Britten, Rhona MacDonald, David Southall and Gauri Divan for their courage to write on the subject of genocides in Gaza and the call to stop sending arms to this regime.

[*Note from HIFA moderator (NPW): I have approved this message as it raises questions about the way that HIFA is moderated, and is therefore relevant to HIFA. I have approved previous messages in this thread as they related to the question about the validity of discussing the availability and use of reliable healthcare information as a determinant of the right to health at a time when there is so much suffering in Gaza and elsewhere. HIFA does not carry messages unless they are (at least in part) relevant to the HIFA remit. So far in this discussion I have had to reject only one message (this morning) which described patterns of war over history without reference to health. As a basis for moderation, I use HIFA's guidelines for messages, see: https://www.hifa.org/forums/how-use-hifa-forums ]
