Hi Everyone
My name is Felix Kwame Zoiku, a Principal Research Assistant at the Department of Epidemiology, Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research. I am a highly motivated and results-oriented laboratory Scientist and Parasitologist and my research interests include Parasitology, Molecular Biology of Infectious diseases and Epidemiology. I am part of the Malaria Research Team at the Department of Epidemiology and have been working with senior research fellows on Antimalarial Drug Resistance studies and other infectious disease studies for close to ten (10) years. I have been part of several other studies which are collaborations with other Institutions in Ghana and outside Ghana.
He holds an HND and BSc in Laboratory Science, an MPhil in Applied Parasitology and two postgraduate certificates in Epidemiology of Global Health and Implementation Research.
I am also a WHO Certified Malaria Microscopist and have been training and teaching students and Laboratory professionals as a way of capacity and skill building in Malaria Diagnosis. I also assist senior fellows in supervising undergraduate student’s projects at the department.
I am a trained Internal Quality Auditor, a trained Biosafety Officer, a trained First Aider and a trained Fire Warden.
Aside research, I fully engage in several community development programs such as health screening programs for communities, schools and churches, Health talks and seminars, Leadership training programs and conferences. I am also the founder of Solidage Africa Foundation (SAF) (www.solidaf.org), a community development and youth-based organization with networks across Africa serving as agents of change in society.
