The Indian Institute of Public Health (IIPH) Hyderabad commenced its activities on July 1, 2008, with a mission to deliver public health education, pursue research and advocacy and support policy development. It lays strong emphasis on pursuing public health policy, practice, training and research, positioning its programmes according to the public health priorities of the state and the nation. The institute has brought together a highly qualified and diverse faculty, of nationally and internationally trained and extremely motivated public health academics and practitioners.

The Global Education Development Institute (GEDI) is on the cutting edge of global nursing education. As a not-for-profit organization, we seek funding for, and provide educational opportunities and management training for healthcare professionals in the United States and abroad. GEDI programs facilitate development of skills and knowledge necessary to more effectively lead in today’s healthcare environment. Faculty use adult learning methods to create an integrated curriculum, graduating the learner into an ongoing community of colleagues and peers.

The Faculty of Medicine of the Eduardo Mondlane University offers Bachelor of Medicine since 1963 and has graduated more than a thousand doctors to the country. Until the mid-1990s was the only institution in the country responsible for training doctors. Today there are other public and private institutions that are also dedicated to the training of doctors.

CIIT aspires to be both one of the top research institutions and one of the best higher education providers in the country. It envisages becoming a university by the name of “COMSATS University”, for which the legal documentation is under process with the Government of Pakistan. The vision being pursued by the CIIT is to become one of the top 100 universities in the developing world. The CIIT further intends to earn a place among the top 500 universities of the world by the year 2020.
