HIFA Country Representative Gladys Dadzie celebrates HIFA Awareness Day in Accra, Ghana

HIFA in collaboration with Your Health Matters Ghana (YHMG) created an awareness day in Ghana on the 10th of March, 2017 at the Aviation Social Centre in Accra, Ghana. 

The event was well patronized by stakeholders in the health sector including medical doctors, nurses, health professionals, administrators, corporate organizations, medical and nursing students as well as a significant number of the general public. 

There were lectures on diabetes, hypertension, prostate education and general healthcare information delivery. 

The awareness has been a success because the audience were taken through a practical approach of delivering healthcare information, given facts on mortality rate in Ghana over the years as well as the role each stakeholder has to play in the delivery of healthcare information. 

Furthermore, a couple of health and non-health organizations and individuals mostly In the health sector have committed to helping the course of HIFA - by pledging their support In the delivery of healthcare information. T-shirts, pens and other souvenirs were distributed after the tour of many media houses in the Capital city to create awareness of HIFA.

Your Health Matters Ghana invites any form of support including health education materials, mobile phones, computers, airtime, etc to help disseminate healthcare information for all.

HIFA is very grateful to HIFA Country Representative Gladys Dadzie, who organised the event.  Gladys is a Registered Nurse at the Airport Clinic Ltd in Ghana. Professional interests: General nursing care, Emergency nursing and Public health education. She is the Executive Director of YOUR HEALTH MATTERS-GHANA a non profit making organization that is interested in the general wellbeing of individuals and provides health and wellness tips daily to the general public.

Gladys was assisted by fellow HIFA CR Solomon Bayugo Sulemani, Assistant Librarian (User Services) at the College of Health Sciences, University of Ghana Medical School, Accra, Ghana.
