Dear HIFA colleagues,
Six weeks ago we launched an appeal to all HIFA members to consider a small monthly contribution to HIFA.
At that time we had 20 monthly donors. Our aim was to double this to 40, which would make a significant difference to our financial viability.
I am pleased to report that we now have 25 personal donors contributing monthly amounts of £5, £10, £20 or more.
Here is what they say:
Julie Reza: "I'm struck by the idea that if a relatively small number of HIFA's members contribute, it can make a significant difference to HIFA’s sustainability. I’m contributing at a modest level. Sharing in case it encourages others who have been considering it."
Geoff Royston: "A small group of members have committed to regular individual donations; these comprise a significant proportion of HIFA’s income and it would make a huge difference if, say, just 20 more members could be added to this group. So, if you are able, do join us!"
Jules Storr: "HIFA is a remarkable global community that I'm proud to be a part of, including being on its Steering Group and part of the small group of fantastic individuals supporting HIFA's social media presence... It exists because thousands of people across the world believe in its vision. At a time when misinformation is widespread and many organisations are facing financial pressures, communities like HIFA matter more than ever. No donation is too small and will genuinely help sustain this important work. With thanks to all involved in keeping this important network alive and thriving."
I would like to encourage other members to help us reach our target of 40 donors.
