Why is Kangaroo Mother Care not yet scaled in the UK? A systematic review (2)

23 January, 2022

Dear Neil, KMC is good and effective both in rich and poor country. I have experience of it, in addition I've also witnessed how African mothers are able to take care of their little babies if adequately empowered and

trusted to do so. I mean in the NICU, since the first day of life.

It is true : care of preterm babies has been relegated to machines i.e incubators, monitors, special nursing and ...exclusion of their mothers. That are best nurses ever...that are best monitors, best incubators.

African mothers are superb, they are naturally one with the baby, they help each other in the NICU. The pre-condition is : give instruction-power-trust-recognition to them.

Greetings from Dodoma
