WHO: Hooking the next generation: how the tobacco industry captures young customers (8) Protecting children from tobacco industry interference

27 May, 2024

Dear colleagues,

Once again, we reiterate the invitation to participate this week in the Discussion Forum on the theme of this year's WHO World No Tobacco Day: Protecting children from the Tobacco Industry interference .

In this link https://youtu.be/PwIXwmEqlGY , I am sharing my message that refers to how the tobacco industry has used abusive and deceptive strategies to reach and trap children and adolescents, whom they consider the "replacements" for those smokers who have quit or die.

I hope this motivates you to send your reflections on this or other aspects linked to the WNTD theme.

Kind regards,

Eduardo
