What can you expect from this session?
Cross-sector connections and real-world examples
This webinar aims to connect on-the-ground realities with the innovative vision of specialists in logistics, transportation, digital tools, medical technology, and social innovation.
We will analyze concrete examples from other sectors—including motorcycle ambulances, drone delivery, and community health models—to show how your current work and knowledge can be applied to building solutions for this challenge. Additionally, we will conclude with a challenge-based matchmaking session, ideal for connecting with future partners ahead of the Snakehack event.
Guest experts
We will feature insights from two distinguished specialists:
Dr. Jackeline Alger (Executive Director of the Antonio Vidal Institute of Infectious Diseases, Honduras): She will share her extensive experience in building interdisciplinary solutions, focusing on "Implementation Research" methodology, which helps identify challenges when implementing innovations in the field.
Dr. Rafael de Almeida (Researcher at the Butantan Institute, Brazil): He will share his knowledge on applying emerging technology and biotechnology to design innovative therapies, incorporating field experience regarding prevention and education in Amazonian communities.
What will you gain from this session?
Identify how to apply your expertise to the two phases of the pre-hospital pathway (first aid and access logistics). Understand the specific gaps the prize aims to address before the patient reaches the hospital.

Note: Attending Webinar #1 is not mandatory to participate in the rest of the series. All curious minds are welcome.
