US Drops Six Common Vaccines from CDC Recommendations (2)

9 January, 2026

Dear colleagues,

Thank you for sharing this important update.

This reported change is concerning. Removal of long-standing vaccines from routine recommendations without transparent, independent, evidence-based review risks undermining both child health outcomes and global vaccine confidence.

Given the U.S. influence on international health norms, clarity on the scientific rationale and governance process is urgently needed.

Kind regards,

Rabia
