Ukraine emergency (8) Russia's war: Why The BMJ opposes an academic boycott (2)

11 March, 2022

We read the Editors Choice column in the The BMJ journal and thought we need to share it because it has relevance to HIFA Mission, to get accurate information to everyone

The BMJ Editor-in-Chief wrote, ‘If truth is the first casualty of war, the second is health and wellbeing. BMJ condemns Russia’s waron Ukraine ---‘

And we agree that scientific papers from Russia should continue to be accepted, and subjected to the stringent scrutiny and peer review to guard against misinformation and propaganda!

The Editor also wrote, ‘If truth is indeed the first casualty of war, our response is to spread as much of BMJ’s reliable information as widely as possible-------‘.

We agree and this is the nexus with HIFA mission.
