Survey - What Research on Sources and Drivers of Escalating Infectious Disease Threats should be Prioritised for Funding?

12 March, 2023

Dear colleagues,

Sharing on behalf of Professor Trudie Lang, Director of The Global Health Network.

What Research on Sources and Drivers of Escalating Infectious Disease Threats should be Prioritised for Funding?

If your work relates to infectious diseases in LMICs, please take this 10-minute survey: https://oxford.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/wellcome-sources-and-drivers

The Global Health Network and Wellcome are gathering perspectives on research priorities in this area. Our aim is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the most pressing research needs and to form a consensus among different sectors, including human and animal health.

You are invited to take this short survey as it will be a powerful mechanism to contribute to this consensus seeking objective. There will also be opportunities to sign up for in-person workshops to be co-hosted by The Global Health Network Centres in Africa, Asia and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).

Contributions will be vital in determining regional and global perspectives on research and development priorities surrounding sources and drivers of escalating (or at risk of escalating) infectious diseases. You will also have the potential to guide where funding should be targeted across different areas.

The survey takes 5-10 minutes to complete. We greatly appreciate your time, contribution, and engagement.

For queries, email Ryan Walker, Project Coordinator at research@theglobalhealthnetwork.org

P.S. Many thanks for the great response to our call for community engagement contributors this week - as a result we received 40+ applications.

Best regards,

Patrick
