Following discussions on the HIFA network, a small group of interested HIFA members, from Cameroon, Ghana, India, Federated states of Russia and the UK have made a proposal to the April 24 to April 27th 2023 United Nations World Data Forum (Held in Hangzhou, China).

The proposal is firstly for the UNWDF to support patient access to and patient auditing of their data and data trail and, secondly, a call for the UN to support an emergent global standard for the processing of digital personal health data.

Only 70 proposals will be successful for delivery at the UNWDF in Hangzhou, China. Fingers crossed.

United Nations World Data Forum "The aim of the UN World Data Forum is to spur data innovation, nurture partnerships, mobilize high-level political and financial support for data, and build a pathway to better data for sustainable development."
