Ride for their Lives

16 October, 2021

The UN Climate conference (COP 26) is coming up very soon (1st - 12th November in Glasgow) and will have a major impact on the lives of children around the world.

There is something you can do to help draw attention to the health of children at this time, particularly in relation to air pollution, which is a major cause of death.

Paediatricians and child health professionals from children's hospitals across the UK will be cycling from London to Glasgow just before COP, to draw attention to this problem and the climate crisis in general, and call for action.

Could you take to your bike to add miles to the virtual ride? You could pedal a kilometre, or ten or a hundred to reach the target of a million kilometres for the climate!

All the details and a useful video can be found on this link

It will be wonderful if you can take part!

The ride itself will reach Glasgow on 31st October, and at 5pm on 1st November at 5pm GMT there will be a further webinar in the ISSOP climate crisis series featuring riders' views on the conference and the expected outcome for children. More to come on this webinar soon. If you are a virtual rider, you could contribute too.
