RE: HIV and AIDS Children beating the stigma of diagnosis and compliance with medication

7 April, 2023

Dear Dr Hanbury,

Thank you for the storybook for children focusing on stigma in HIV and AIDS. The illustrations are nice, and you may want to add many more drawings, so that all pages have a picture. If there are other story books from Children for Health, please tell me. As I am now beginning to visit children in Cherish, an orphanage in Kismatpur, Hyderabad, Telangana, India, I welcomed the list of readymade activities in your storybook! There are 48 children of different age groups from 6 plus to 19 plus, whom I would like to engage in health-giving activities. Last Sunday, on a visit of less than 2 hours duration, I took to them some greens, ponnaganti in Telugu or leaves of gold, Alternanthera sissilis, which Caring Grandma said she would make sure to add to their lentils, and I quickly looked up and told each the meaning of their given name as they asked me - you should have seen the joy they felt on hearing the meaning!

Thank you for all the good work you do ongoingly! And, best wishes for your continued success in life.

Warm regards,

Shobha
