Dear Bernard,
You say that "National Immunization Days (NIDs) of mass vaccination with OPV to eradicate polio have spurred this rumor [that OPV would sterilize children] in some parts of the world" and you propose that "NIDs should be discontinued and the efforts to vaccinate against polio should be concentrated on the Expanded Program on Immunization".
Please can you say more about this? I would be interested to have a clearer picture of how NIDs and EPI are implemented to prevent polio in different parts of the world.
