mHEALTH-INNOVATE (65) How do you use your phone to communicate with colleagues? (11)

3 May, 2022

Dear Neil,

You asked how we use our phones to communicate with collegues and I give an example of its use both formally and informally.

Since the inception of WhatsApp its earlier use was more on the social domain.

Suddenly, in my experience WhatsApp became the most utilised method of speedily sharing information during the initial phase of COVID pandemic informally.

The WhatsApp (jokingly called WhatsApp University) has become so popular today that several formal events/groups have been created for sharing scientific knowledge texts and proposals, best practice guidelines, short e-learning courses, scientific academic calls/webinars with a maximum number of participants etc.

WhatsApp is a game-changer for timely access to medical information (both correct and wrong).

Best wishes
