Dear reader,
On behalf of the Regulatory Agencies Global Network against AMR <https://www.lyyti.fi/p/RAGNA_Platform_9648/en/home>, I would like to invite HCP's/veterinarians and/or patient organisation representatives to participate in an open discussion on our ongoing project on designing antimicrobial packaging from a One Health perspective.
This discussion builds on the outcomes of the 2nd Joint Global Regulatory Agencies Summit on AMR<https://www.qjsamr.org/news-and-events/news/qjs-news-item/19-12-2025-sec..., where regulators emphasized the need to improve antimicrobial labelling to support prudent use and ensure clearer communication with patients and healthcare professionals. The project group consists of 14 experts from Medical Products Agencies and Public Health Agencies.
Purpose of the discussion
The discussion will explore how antimicrobial packaging can better support responsible use through clearer, more practical design. We will focus on identifying specific elements that could improve packaging and labelling, such as:
* Clear and consistent pictograms
* Patient alert cards or reminder tools
* Simple, easy-to-understand usage information
* Other design features that support correct antimicrobial use
We are particularly interested in hearing HCP's/veterinarians and/or patient organisation:
* What effective antimicrobial packaging should include from a One Health perspective
* Lessons learned from current labelling and packaging approaches
* New or unconventional ideas that could improve communication and stewardship
Format
* Informal, open expert discussion
* Planned for late April 2026 (exact date to be confirmed)
The session is intended to gather practical insights that will help inform the design of a future RAGNA workshop on antimicrobial packaging and labelling.
Participation does not involve any formal commitment,this is simply an opportunity to share perspectives and contribute to early-stage thinking in this area.
If you are interested in participating, or would like more information, please feel free to reply to this email.
Thank you, and please reach out to RAGNA@lakemedelsverket.se<mailto:RAGNA@lakemedelsverket.se> if you're interested.
