My name is Dr Viengchan Sek. I am a general practitioner based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, currently supporting an Obstetrics and Gynecology inpatient service.
My clinical work focuses on continuity of care in maternity wards, coordination between generalist and specialist teams, and practical system-level changes that improve safety in resource-constrained hospital settings. Much of my day-to-day work involves monitoring high-risk pregnancies, supporting postnatal care, and communicating care plans clearly to patients and families.
I am interested in joining HIFA to contribute frontline clinical perspectives, particularly around how workforce design, communication, and continuity affect maternal outcomes in low- and middle-income settings. I am also keen to learn from others working in similar contexts.
