Dear HIFA Team,
My name is Dean Kader KOHOU; I am a Doctor of Pharmacy and a hospital pharmacist from Côte d'Ivoire, and I am delighted to introduce myself as a new member of the HIFA community.
I am interested in health systems, health policy, advocacy, technology, and engagement in the health sector. Through my professional background and involvement with associations, I have had the opportunity to lead and contribute to numerous screening initiatives and outreach clinics for non-communicable diseases — both in remote rural areas and in urban centers — addressing the challenges of healthcare access, which are primarily due to patients' lack of financial means. I have also contributed to the implementation and execution of public policies, particularly those concerning access to care for people living with HIV.
I joined HIFA because I hope to further specialize, set goals, and take action at all levels — from the local community to health policy — to improve population health.
I am excited to learn from a diverse community of health professionals and sector stakeholders who engage in discussions about health information and universal access to quality care. I am very enthusiastic about sharing my perspective and connecting with other members working to improve health outcomes globally.
Best wishes to the HIFA community.
Kind regards,
Dr. Dean Kader KOHOU
