Afrihealth Optonet Association (AHOA) is a global-level and community-focused Network/Think-tank of civil society organizations (CSOs) and non-state actors (NSA) on Health, Human Welfare/Rights, Climate Change, Biodiversity Conservation, Food Security and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). HIFA Profile: Dr. Uzodinma Adirieje is a civil society leader, consultant, evaluator, researcher, advocate, trainer, writer and activist, known for his works on environment, ecosystem, ‘one health’, climate change, biodiversity, renewable energy, as well as in the sustainable development goals (SDGs), monitoring and evaluation (M&E), HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis (TB), Malaria, Mpox, COVID, public-private partnerships, outreach/community engagement, maternal and new-born child health, blindness prevention, conferences, aging, human rights, community development, indigenous peoples, marginalized/vulnerable populations, nutrition, one health, health sector reforms and the nonprofit sector. He is a pioneer Fellow and former National President of the Nigeria Association of Evaluators (NAE) and was a consultant who drafted Nigeria's M&E Policy. A citizen of Nigeria, Dr. Adirieje is a World Bank-trained health economist, the CEO and Permanent Representative of Afrihealth Optonet Association (AHOA) to the United Nations System; President, African Network of Civil Society Organizations (ANCSO); Chair, Global Consortium of Civil Society and Non-State Actors on Climate Change and Conference of Parties (GCSCCC); President, CSOs Strategy Group on SDGs in Nigeria, 2020-2024; National Coordinator, Civil Society Partnership for Sustainable Development Goals in Nigeria (CSP-SDGs Nigeria); and President, Society for Conservation and Sustainability of Energy and Environment in Nigeria (SOCSEEN).
