It is with excitement I share with you that Prof Rose Gana Fomban Leke has been awarded since the 11th of September 2023, the Virchow Prize for Global Health by the Virchow Foundation For Global Health and the Virchow Prize committee. The Virchow Prize For Global Health she received was in recognition of her distinctive and exceptional lifetime achievements in strengthening global health, pioneering infectious disease research towards a malaria-free world and relentless dedication in advancing gender equality. The Virchow Foundation for Global Health on the 3rd of October announced on its web site that Dr Matshidiso Moeti, WHO Regional Director for Africa, will give the laudation of Rose Leke.
