I am thinking of the situation in Cameroon's English speaking regions where the armed conflict has affected the lives of so many children including education , health, food security ., etc.
Children's rights have been violated. Cases of child sexual abuse have been reported, children not having access to food ,exposing them to poor health and malnutrition. Children who are displaced to remote areas can't have access to good quality health care.
Death rate is on the increase. MSF [Medicins sans Frontieres] that used to assist children have good health care had to be suspended by the Cameroon government there by frustrating their activities in Anglophone Cameroon.
The UN special representative on children in armed conflict should publish a monitoring and reporting mechanism where cases of child rights violation should be monitored and reported. We need this document urgently. Humanitarian aid is also lacking.
There should be support for children in conflict affected countries.There is no coalition or network in support for children's health . Also create advocates for child protection in conflict and disaster zones.
We stand for the protection of children's rights. Just few days ago,on the 11th of February an IED exploded in one of the towns in Anglophone Cameroon and children were injured severely and one dead recorded.
