A new editorial published this week in ecancer describes the current devastating situation in Sudan for cancer patients. The entire health system is on the verge of collapse, with more than 70% of hospitals in conflict areas currently out of service. Consequently, oncology services have been significantly affected, resulting in disastrous outcomes.
Sudan, once a pioneer in cancer care delivery in Sub-Saharan Africa, urgently needs the support of the global health community to mitigate the devastating impact of the ongoing conflict on cancer patients.
