I am delighted to hear about this initiative.
I am from University of Colombo in Sri Lanka, and its Faculty of Medicine established a new Department of Medical Humanities to use the arts and humanities to cultivate compassion. I think compassion is a key 'competency' to have for a healthcare worker.
