Dr Bot: Why Doctors Can Fail Us and How AI Could Save Lives (7)

15 September, 2025

I cannot agree more with Chris when he wrote: 'In the hands of a human interpreter - a nurse or physician - AI can certainly be a powerful tool but, without human mediation, there is no way AI could be "the most reliable physician in history".

Health care will not be health care without human touch in most cases. I can still hear patients saying, 'he/she (the practitioner) did not even as much as touch me (examine me) before writing the prescription'.

AI designed and produced by human beings for health care has come to stay, but cannot and should remove the human touch!
