Would you like to contribute to a new core collection? Do you have relevant subject area expertise and/or collections management experience?
We are looking for a motivated team of volunteers to help identify and quality-check titles for specific subject categories of the new core collection, which is designed to the needs of healthcare workers in first-referral hospitals (e.g. district hospitals) in sub-Saharan Africa. Technical support, instructions and oversight will be provided to all volunteers, and each volunteer will be issued with a certificate on successful completion of their allocated role. Volunteers will work in partnership with new colleagues as part of this exciting development opportunity. Our strength is our diverse and active membership covering all health and social sectors, and geographical areas in the UK. Members work for the health service, the academic sector, the independent sector, government departments, professional associations, charities and public libraries.
