Dear Simon and Bronwen
Enjoyed a very interesting presentation today highlighting value of community engagement /interest holders for translation of research into best practices and health policies.
Apologies for posting my message here because I don’t have your emails.
Thanks for taking my question regarding the selection of interest holders and my comment that HIFA with over 20,000 members (180 countries) can be engaged in future and also GFMER resources.
Best wishes
meena

Subject: [hifa] Cochrane webinar: Does co-production of a Cochrane Review facilitate the translation of findings into practice?
Dear colleagues
Are you interested in co-production approaches in research?
On 05 June 2024 - 10:00-11:00 am Norway time, Dr Bronwen Merner will provide a first-hand account of the research pipeline from co-produced knowledge creation to co-produced knowledge use. To attend this Cochrane People, Health Systems and Public Health <https://www.cochrane.org/about-us/our-global-community/thematic-groups/p... webinar, please register here <http://emails.cochrane.org/jc.aspx?d=CWGNW3UCIAKEL77FHQNXCGA4MQJJGQVKRES....
In 2023, Bronwen led a co-produced qualitative evidence synthesis<http://emails.cochrane.org/jc.aspx?d=CWGMW3UDGAKAL77FNYJULMLRNXWFKLJWIBU... (QES) with interest holders (including consumers, health practitioners and policymakers) exploring how to foster consumer partnerships in health care. She will provide a brief overview of the findings of the QES and the co-production process. She will then share the results of a subsequent project that sought to translate the findings of the QES into practice in hospitals in Victoria, Australia. Bronwen will draw on her experience of both projects to seek to address the contribution of co-production of research evidence to knowledge use.
Dr Bronwen Merner <http://emails.cochrane.org/jc.aspx?d=CWGNWCUCIAKEL77FXQLDKF3TNJAKRJUIEK2... is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Health Communication and Participation <http://emails.cochrane.org/jc.aspx?d=CWGMWDUCGAIEL73F22CLJUAU5BFBUEY6DKB... at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia. She has expertise in collaborative research methodologies, including in evidence syntheses and primary research. From 2016 to 2021, she was the Managing Editor of Cochrane Consumers and Communication and has co-authored three Cochrane Reviews.
Please join us for what promises to be a very interesting presentation and discussion.
Best wishes Simon
