As I noted earlier, I cartainly agree that other aspects of health literacy need to be covered in addition to personal health literacy in order to tackle the spread of misinformation. But, equally, you cannot tackle health literacy in society without helping individuals to absorb health infiormation. Trying to promote a health-literate society without addressing the information needs of individuals would be like trying to raise educational standards without improving classroom teaching.
Raising health literacy *as a whole* is surely of primary imporrtance in tackling the misinformation epidemic.

Formerly an NGO, Phi supports knowledge development and brokers healthcare information exchanges of all kinds.
