Indian Academy of Pediatrics

The Indian Academy of Pediatrics is the largest and most representative association of Pediatricians in India, with 23,000 members. One of the major activities undertaken by the IAP since its inception has been to organize Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs by holding conferences, symposia, lectures and other meets all over the country. IAP’s head office is in Mumbai, while Delhi is the seat of its official publication – Indian Pediatrics.

Japanese Society for Social Medicine

The Japanese Society for Social Medicine was developed from the former Research Society for Social Medicine started in 1960 and renamed in 1999. At present, the society has several hundred members who are engaged in the diverse areas of welfare and education as well as health care. Purpose: This society aims to promote and develop various research projects on theoretical aspects of social medicine and their application through cooperation among members.

Universal Medical Esperanto Association

The Universal Medical Esperanto-Association (UMEA) was founded in 1908 to spread and cultivate the use of the international language Esperanto in medicine. The very aim of Esperanto is to overcome language barriers. Since its foundation until today UMEA is active in this direction by supporting the collaboration among the international membership of the association, organizes medical conferences, works together with national medical associations and health care providers even in remote regions of the world and pursues specific projects to overcome language barriers in medicine.

UNAPSA

UNAPSA (Union of National African Paediatric Societies and Associations) is the body of African paediatricians represented by National Paediatric Societies and Associations in Africa. To date there are thirty-eight country membership. UNAPSA is affiliated to the International Pediatric Association (IPA).

European Forum for Primary Care

The European Forum for Primary Care was initiated in early 2005 by a group of interested parties from several countries. The aim of the Forum is to improve the health of the population by promoting strong Primary Care. This is done by advocating for Primary Care, by generating data and evidence on Primary Care and by exchanging information between its members.
