LiveWell Initiative

Since inception in 2007, LiveWell Initiative LWI (RC: 692490), is a self-sustaining not-for-profit health-promotion and empowerment organisation with a national orientation and an international outlook. LWI has empowered over 1.5 million Nigerians and 3,000 Ghanaians directly and indirectly by proxy contact, including over 60 blind and disabled adults through health literacy.

International Foundation for Dermatology

The International Foundation for Dermatology (IFD) was created in 1987 as an arm of the International League of Dermatological Societies (ILDS). The IFD is a non-profit organisation whose principal mission is to improve dermatology care in underserved areas of the developing world. The IFD is an integral arm of the ILDS representing more than 25,000 members from over 60 nations. The ILDS is recognised by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a non-governmental organisation for official relations with the dermatological communities.

The hospital was founded in 1908, by Scottish missionaries, in memory of David Livingstone who died nearby.
