Opioids (1) Please help us publicise the upcoming discussion on HIFA

19 March, 2026

Dear HIFA colleagues,

Our next sponsored discussion will take place here on the HIFA forums from 13 April, duration 4 weeks, sponsored by NextGenU.org

Here is our landing page with further details:

https://www.hifa.org/news/hifa-announces-deep-dive-discussion-global-opi...

We currently have four members in the working group, who will meet tomorrow to plan the implementation, including questions: Eduardo Blanco (NextGenU), Kevin Kevin Sevarino (American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry), Nick Surawy Stepney (Exter University) and me.

We invite your suggestions on topics to explore. Also, we would be very grateful if you could please help to publicise this discussion.

You can do this simply by forwarding this email to your contacts and networks. The URL above includes a link for people to join HIFA (free) in readiness for the discussion.

It would be wonderful if we can attract 20, 50 or even 100 new members with an interest in opioid use and abuse.

Many thanks, Neil
