A 15th grand challenge for global public health – 20 years later (6) Clean clear reliable information for all

Hello Jules Storr you raise a very important point. I agree with you and thank you for drawing our attention to something HIFA said almost 20 years ago on a powerful platform like the Lancet. My question at this point is to us HIFA members, is it possible to reflect on such statements, what had HIFA done to actual use in real sense that statement. As you said all these social media where only just emerging 20 years ago, sadly they have used their malignant algorithms to promote dis / misinformation. 

So, my question to us in HIFA how do we relocate that statement about 'Clean clear reliable information for all' back to the global front burner ? 

And this is without prejudice to the great work that HIFA has done to-date given its size!

HIFA profile: Joseph Ana is the Lead Senior Fellow/Medical Consultant at the Centre for Clinical Governance Research and Patient Safety in Calabar, Nigeria, established by HRI Global (former HRIWA).
