Dear all,
I am pleased to announce the publication of my book La communication en santé publique.
https://www.editions-ellipses.fr/accueil/16187-la-communication-en-sante...
Drawing on my experiences in various countries and on my research, I propose a theoretical framework for public health communication, which I call the “health culture,” and apply it to eleven case studies.
A public health communication strategy must be grounded in “culture” of the target populations with regard to the health issue in question. This includes, in particular, knowledge, representations of health and illness, perceptions of healthcare providers and health authorities, acquired behaviors, social norms, and the political and historical contexts.
I am working on an English version, which should be published in early 2026.
