Dear HIFA colleagues,
I’m delighted to share that my new book, Dr Bot: Why Doctors Can Fail Us and How AI Could Save Lives, was published last week by Yale University Press.
Dr Bot explores how artificial intelligence is reshaping medicine – and what this means for trust, communication, and the future of healthcare. Drawing on stories from patients and doctors, as well as international research, the book makes the case for using AI not just to support clinicians but to rethink how we deliver safe, equitable, and compassionate care worldwide.
Written for a lay audience, I hope it will spark discussion among those working at the intersection of health systems, ethics, and innovation.

Warm regards
Charlotte
