'The WHO Global Learning Laboratory (GLL) for Quality UHC aims to understand how to improve quality of care, paying close attention to actions required to achieve desired health service improvement. The GLL uses various mechanisms to encourage learning, linking the experiences, expertise, and wisdom of people around the world on important issues relating to quality health services.'

WHO-GLL and HIFA supported a thematic discussion on the HIFA forums: Enhancing the Quality of Health Services Across Levels of the Health System, between 28 June and 1 October 2021.

What are the biggest challenges for improving quality of care at the facility level?
Have you seen any practical solutions that should be shared more widely?
There was a rich and diverse discussion with more than 300 substantive messages exchanged among HIFA members worldwide. Thank you to everyone for sharing your experience and expertise, for the benefit of others. The discussions have been synthesised into four publications on the WHO and HIFA websites:
