Assarag Bouchra

National School of Public Health in Morocco

Assarag Bouchra is a researcher at the National School of Public Health in Morocco. She worked as a doctor in a rural district for 6 years before joining the NPHS in 2008. Assarag is an active member of Civil Associations in the field of adolescents, HIV and Family Planning; President of the Association Together for SRH (Enssemble pour la Santé de la Reproduction (ESR). She also participated and coordinated several studies including Maternal and Neonatal Sepsis in collaboration with WHO Geneva (2018). As member of the NSPH, Bouchra has coordinated several courses in Sexual Health and Reproductive Health: STI / AIDS Program Management Course and Services. She is the Moroccan Coordinator of the work package FEMHEALTH on the effects of the exemption of cesarean section fees on the quality of care.

Assarag collaborates with the Ministry of Health in the planning and implementation of the health strategy of reduction of maternal and neonatal mortality and morbidity. She is also the coordinator of the Primary Health Care training modules on SRH and Migrant women and participated in the development of the training kit for health care providers on violence against women and children.
