Please help - NIHR Global Health Research Centres webinar

20 November, 2020

Dear Colleagues,

I am wondering if the following might be of interest to your members and organisational network.

NIHR has launched a new funding programme to create Global Health Research Centres, which will undertake high quality applied health research in low and middle income countries and develop research capacity. The first funding call for this new programme will be to fund and designate Global Health Research Centres in non-communicable diseases (NCDs).

We are holding two 90-minute webinars on Wednesday 25 November to provide information about the new Global Health Research Centres funding programme and support applicants to the first funding call. I thought this funding opportunity may be of interest to you and your colleagues and would like to encourage you to sign up to this webinar.

We are also recruiting subject matter experts, academics and community engagement and involvement specialists to join the Funding Committees for the Global Health Research Centres call and the new Research and Innovation for Global Health Transformation (RIGHT) call on unintentional injuries, and urgent and emergency care. Please do likewise share this opportunity with contacts for whom it may be of interest, and note the deadline is 12 December.

All of this information is also in our new NIHR Global Health Research newsletter, launched last week, so if you haven't already, please do sign up for that also. And if you're on Twitter, please consider retweeting our post(s) on @NIHRglobal to your followers and encouraging them to sign up to the webinar.

I would be grateful if you could please circulate the above information via your communication channels.

Thank you and Best regards,

Razina Hussain
