Dear HIFA members,
We have extended the deadline for applications to the BMA Information Fund until 27 November. The fund provides health information and educational materials to health-focused organisations in low-income countries.
We work in partnership with Health Books International to provide resources that are tailored to the specific education and training needs of health workers operating in low-resource settings. Materials available include books, online resources, practical guides and tools, DVDs and CDs.
This year we are giving added weight to requests that support mitigation and recovery from COVID-19, whether through direct action to combat the virus or restoring other services disrupted as a result of the pandemic. Successful applicants will show that the requested resources will have a sustained and meaningful impact, and support achievement of one or more UN Sustainable Development Goal targets (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/sustainable-development-goals/).
Have a look at our webpage and read the blog from our International Committee chair for more information on the initiatives we have previously supported and information on how to apply.
The application deadline is 27 November 2020, but applications are capped at 100 so early application is encouraged! Please share our tweet to help spread the word: https://twitter.com/TheBMA/status/1322204239310061569
The following types of organisations can apply:
Health-focused non-governmental organisations
Human rights and community development organisations involved in local capacity-building
(Please note we are not able to respond to requests from individuals.)
If you know someone or an organisation that would also like to take part, please share this fantastic opportunity with them!
