HI Neil and Chris

"Would anyone be willing to search the literature for systematic reviews of research on the effectiveness of traditional medicine for different clinical conditions?"

I have just searched for ["systematic reviews" and ("traditional medicine" or "traditional Chinese medicine" or ayurvedic)] in Global Health and come up with a very quick number of over 760, and I will have to go through them more carefully and refine the search to narrow it down next week.

Example record found:

The traditional Chinese medicine and relevant treatment for the efficacy and safety of atopic dermatitis: a systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.

Author(s) : Shi ZhaoFeng ; Song TieBing ; Xie Juan ; Yan YiQuan ; Du YongPing

Author Affiliation : Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Xijing Hospital Affiliated to Fourth Military Medical University, Xi'an 710032, China.

Author Email : ddyypp@fmmu.edu.cn

Journal article : Evidence-based Complementary and Alternative Medicine 2017 Vol.2017 pp.Article ID 6026434 ref.60

As a board member of Global Health, you should have access to the database ..if that’s no longer the case then I will set it up for you again next week: you can then run the search yourself.
